Apps and "best device screen" usage.....
« on: August 13, 2022, 05:42:13 AM »
Hello,

i don't know how extensive your  WEB SURFING habbits are.

i know many of you use chrome based browsers and Opera etc which is
same for me........

........... but i always love to use FULL SCREEN REAL ESTATE and not lose
any of the browser window to silly menu's and address bars.  Firefox has always
offerred AUTO HIDE all TABS and menus in full screen via mouse enter or leave EDGES.........

You can also do AUTO HIDE on many of other browsers by simply using a free extension
called VERTICAL TABS  (there are several versions of them) and they give you that
same FF auto hide functionality when in FULL SCREEN.

You are now getting the most from your device screen.

-------------------------------------------------------------

On Android there are many free cut back "app Launchers" using just 8 megs of Ram
instead of the standard 25 megs .........for  ICON LAUNCHERS

BLANK is such a tiny launcher........

it's a free TEXT LIST launcher  (just 20 kilobyte launcher)

You install "Blank" from the free store, then

1) Simply ADD all your device apps to the LIKE LIST in that order then...
2) just long press the top quarter of the screen to
arrange it's options.

a) back color BLACK
b) FORE COLOR  white
c) For TEXT i just give it "Hi130" or you can just leave it blank as implies the app title.
d) For "onlclick and swipe up actions" i just choose
LIKES.

So "Blank" is a FAST launcher to use......... and it's the lowest Ram consumption

i know of many many other excellent Android apps.  (tiny)

Also, do any of you use the "force dark web pages" on  your web browsers?......it's an excellent option
that appears inside browser settings or inside your FLAGS list  (or both)
opera://flags
Chrome://flags

thanks
C.

ps to check you RAM usage on droid you first reveal your "developer optins" menu on droid ( 5 clicks method)
then in Dev options list you will see  "running processes option"and it shows what's running and RAM used

Hello,

THere was some TCL people having keyboard layout issues
and it caused me to ruminate and remember some other lovely
free android apps (to any people interested)

There are LOW RAM droid launchers at just 10 megs of ram versus
standard 25 megs for any icon launcher.

"Tinylauch" is one such launcher.........and it's also tiny too. 30k (free)

another great tool  is a free keyboard at around 2.5 megs installed called

"Multiling O Keyboard + emoji"

.......it offers 200 different languages and TRULY LIMITLESS customizing
options. it also has SWIPE TYPE and a TON of features you dont often find
on keyboards...and certainly not at 2.5 megs installed.

you also need your chosen language pack for it....(English for me)
