complete power loss (crash) Laptop

Hello Forum,

........can there be any precautions to stop complete power loss (Shut down) of
Laptop?

google says......... "......overheating power supply can cause complete power off shut down"

Well the power brick is properly used.  Sure it does get rather warm.....but
