Here's a mirror to the Wiki:

Is there is an easier way  to access old links that still reference  http:wiki.tinycorelinux...

For Example...

I want to set up wifi
« on: March 08, 2019, 11:07:39 PM »
Hello
I'm using tinycore64, but I don't have a wired network, I read "setting up wifi" http://wiki.tinycorelinux.net/wiki:setting_up_wifi
And decided to install wicd-1.7.4.tar.gz(https://launchpad.net/wicd/+download) via usb, successfully extracted it

Hi RYTCL
The best I can suggest is replace the word  start  with the topic of the old link, but leave the  .html  in there, like this:
Change this:
[Link deleted, Wiki is fixed.  Rich]
To this:

I am unable to access the main WIKI page, too, but I've read this topic and got the directions (my humble introduction to the respected community follows).

As an IT enthusiast I've decided to register here for researching a question how I could fit a tiny 32 MB MMC card (and later, as an academic exercise, 8 MB Sonystick) with TCL + X/GUI extensions + intel/nouveau DRM + mpv + youtube-dl + FF-clone/palemoon + abiword + gnumeric. Since it wouldn't be possible to have it all at once offline I'm more than OK to download some on-the-fly, and learn how. Booting TCL under VM was as fast as light, however, gnumeric crashes. So, I'm penning the road to build it by myself.

My [very first] question is related to the forum engine: could we have the bookmarks here for cherry-picked topics? I would love this functionality. Thanks!

I have found it very useful to install the Redirector add-on for my browser to rewrite all the old wiki links to the new ones with (take out the '*' for Example URL):
Code: [Select]
#https://einaregilsson.com/redirector

http://wiki.tinycorelinux.net/tiki-index.php?page=*
[Link deleted, Wiki is fixed.  Rich]

http://wiki.tinycorelinux.net/dcore:*
[Link deleted, Wiki is fixed.  Rich]

http://wiki.tinycorelinux.net/wiki:*
[Link deleted, Wiki is fixed.  Rich]
Now I can browse the forum references to the wiki without even noticing this 'permission denied' problem! Hopefully, the wiki maintainers could fix it somehow.

BTW (under VM):
a) I'm getting unresolved freezes when RAM is full, with TC Plus 11.1 (not with TC Plus 11.0);
b) dCorePlus doesn't boot (a rebooting loop);
c) It is not possible to install tc-install on non-CD TCL version.
*) gnumeric is sadly not functional; (and palemoon is really old)
¿) Why I'm seeing somewhere TC 12 (!), but not for the x86/_64 arch/es?
#) x32 ABI should have a second look at

The wiki issue has been outstanding for a while, wondering if the main wiki can be restored to view and edit?

Hi team TCL,

I registered a forum account to politely ask if there's plans of bringing back online the wiki. Or in any case, maybe on the wiki's main page you can add a link to the mirrored copy? So that people visiting it don't close the window and think it'll be brought up in a day or two (it's been a few months now).

In any case, thank you team for the distro, I think TCL is exactly the kind of linux for my grandma's old computer so she can explore the internets. A hard-copy on the hard-disk, copied to RAM on boot, and no persistence. Sort of like an internet kiosk box. I don't intend to hijack the thread with this off-topic comment, but I also don't want to come along as 'a guy who made an account just to complain about the website'.

Cheers!

Hi!
Is it possible to get TCL's dokuwiki patched sources to take a look into and reproduce it dreamhost's failing on local apache setup (and possibly fix)?
