I kindly ask all extension makers to keep freedesktop.org menu items and do not remove them. It is used by Xfce4 and other freedesktop.org spec compatible Desktop Environments, like KDE, GNOME, ... In most cases it is already part of the applications source (binary) so do not have to spend time with it.
It is the .desktop fiile in
/usr/local/share/applications
plus the related icon in
/usr/local/share/pixmaps
and/or
/usr/local/share/icons
