+ iv all ways wondered if any thing comparable cmd can run osk fom terminal ?
just to clarify my meaning hear
can core(.gz) alone support some kind of onscreen keyboard ?
some tablets appear to have ( i presume in somekind of efi frame buffer .all though the precise terminology is over my heat atm )
onscreen keyboard available in eg grub2 or syslinux for text input
although using different/non-default resolutions can make it scale wrong
i guess it might ( not shore how ) be available after *whatever* kernel gfx driver(s)

takes over display (buffer?? yes i likely read much and understand little )
if not id take a wild guess an osk could potentially be supported in core.gz terminal via some kernel/driver config + (imaginary afaik unimplemented) software
but likely getting such a setup working
would endup being less generic and more tied to *whatever* specific hw
there are 9 pages for "Search results for: touch screen" atm
one that grabs my attention atm mentions
poorly built firmware in the touch controller.
