I'm using the swedish layout in the screenshot; don't worry, it defaults to US ;)

Hi again curaga!

Thanks a lot for XVkbd! It works very good. The only snag is that I haven't been able to change it to the swedish keymap yet. I've tried but since my eyesight isn't to good I might have made a mistake. Thanks a lot curaga!

Have fun making extensions for MC and TC,

You can use a graphical editor too, instead of the command; open both files in say Beaver, and copy the full contents of the XVkbd language file to .Xdefaults :)

Yes!

Hi again curaga. I did like you suggested and copied the whole swedish keyboard-file to .Xdefaults and now it works perfect. Thank you very much curaga!

Have fun with this wonderful distro where you can have it exactly your way,

Looks interesting.....however, how do you double stroke, like for entering accents, say with the Spanish keyboard?  Thanks

Press the Xvkbd button on the lower-left for the menu -> "Dead keys"

Then it's just like on a real keyboard, first click on a dead key, then on the letter: ` e -> è

Maybe  I don't have the right fonts, because the dead keys immediately print the symbol.

Aterm doesn't support dead keys, I noticed that too. In other apps, such as the appbrowser, they work (depending on toolkit, it is printed at first, but when the letter is printed after it, they combine).
