Problems with file system in dcore
Lassar:
Been using the xenial release of dcore.
Been having trouble getting to a directory in a partition on my hard drive.
Using puppy linux, no problem going in the directory.
I also have had a directory disappear in /home/tc/icewm/themes/
I guess dcore is not ready for prime time.

That's not much to go on ......

I think puppy runs as root, suggesting as user tc you don't have permission to access the directory in question.

I could see that happening with a non-persistent home directory. Create a directory, don't do a backup, reboot, and the
directory is gone.

I think it's a little premature to come to that conclusion.
Jason W:
Thanks Rich, your answer to the mentioned issues is complete and needs no addition to it.
But, if I may add..
Lassar - What you are seeing is not dCore specific but is the Tinycore way and is so by design. I suggest getting familiar with Tinycore documentation before testing and troubleshooting. Thank you.

OK, now that was funny. ;D
Lassar:
Copied the icewm directory and files over to dcore home/tc.
On the vista directory that disappeared.
It disappeared during the same session that I had copied the icewm directory and files over.
I looked in the icewm/themes directory, and the vista directory has disappeared.
I quickly copied the opt , and home directoy to ext4 partition on my hard drive.
Funny thing using puppy linux, I checked the that icewm directory, that I had copied
over, and the vista directory was in there.
