Is there a tool to read .chm (compressed html) files? I am aware of chmsee on other distributions, any chance of making a tce (by an expert)?

You can try this Firefox plugin:

I didn't try it mut may work.
BTW, chm stands for Compiled HTML not Compressed HTML I guess.
