Laptops for Tiny Core
« on: April 24, 2017, 02:51:43 PM »
I may have to replace my Tiny Core desktop with a laptop. Just wondering if there are brands to prefer (or avoid). I'll probably be looking for a refurbished one.

That's a good question.  While I have no experience with Enterprise notebook security, I'd stay away from any Enterprise notebook with a TPM chip.  IMO it's a complexity nobody needs.    However, AIUI the feature can be disabled from within the BIOS.

While you're shopping remember this; you can never have too much memory :p

Macs are more trouble than they're worth.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

I prefer the 14" screen of the 7440/50, but the 7240 is a great laptop!
