VNC with autoscale
« on: March 08, 2017, 10:17:40 AM »
I do need an a VNC-viewer with the function "autoscale" or "scale to window".

I already tried the extensions <vncviewer> (tightvnc) and <xvnc4viewer> (realvnc), but both programs dont support the autoscale-function. I have read somewhere that the windowsclients usually support the autoscale, but not the linux-versions.

On an old Raspbian-device, it works with Realvnc 5.2.3 without problems. On my TinyCore (I do use 7.2), only the version 4.1.1 of realvnc is available.

Has anyone an idea, how to activate the scaling-function on the vnc-client-side?

Is it possible to install realvnc version 5.2.3 somehow?

best regards

xvnc4viewer and realvnc are not the same program, if you want realvnc,
There is a realvnc package available in the package repository for TCL 7.x (the latest as of writing)
I Have not tested it, but it should support scaling.
