Open Max API

Hello all,

I'm just wondering if anyone know if we're close to being able to use the Open Max API?

This is what OMX is uses from what I know but is also what I'd like to use for another application call info-beamer.

You can see here https://info-beamer.com/ a really great app that's been made for Jessie OS using Open Max API.

I'm sure we can get this to work on TC and then be even better as in RAM and way more stable to power outages etc

I've got the Jessie version of info-beamer running and it's very good so I'm sure others would benefit from this as well.

Keen on any ideas or suggestions on how I get this started if not already.
