piCore 8.x - Mouse freeze
« on: January 25, 2017, 03:42:41 PM »
This probably isn't a bug but a feature. For some reason I think it's Xorg related but I have actually no idea.

On the Raspberry Pi 3 with piCore 8.x installed, I can use a Mouse but with annoying side effects.
After about 1 second of not moving, it goes into (I guess) sleep mode (for power saving?).
I can see the LED for the optical sensor getting dimmed.
$ lsusb
Code: [Select]
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 046d:c00e Logitech, Inc. M-BJ58/M-BJ69 Optical Wheel Mouse

The problem is that if I move the mouse either very slowly or relatively fast, the cursor does not react to my mouse movement. I need to move it at a "medium" speed in order to wake it up. Only then I can move the cursor - Until I stop moving the mouse for another second ; Then the fun starts again...

This is non-intuitive and very frustrating to use.
I really want to change this terribly stupid behavior, hoping it's not a bug but just a default setting I can configure.

Any help is greatly appreciated  <-  I mean it!
