Custom Boot Screen
« on: May 15, 2016, 10:42:59 PM »
I'd really like to set dCore up so that I don't have any text output on boot, and instead have an image displayed. An animated image would be cool but not necessary. I imagine this must be possible, I'm just not sure how. Could some one enlighten me?

Thanks  :)

The quickest way would be to add the bootcode console=/dev/null as well as a framebuffer bootcode, then start a FB image viewer at the start of tc-config (and possibly kill at the end, depends on the viewer).

The various splash programs have also been used, with some more config, see the wiki.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.
