piCore-6.1 freeze with i2c-rtc dtoverlay

Hello.

I'm trying to use a rtc on my RPi A+. When attached, the hat causes a bootup freeze at the rainbow splash screen. This behavior can be replicated by not attaching the hat, but by adding the line:

dtoverlay=i2c-rtc,ds1307

to the config.txt file.

(Behavior is the same for the RPi 2. Also, this hardware work on both the A+ and 2 under Raspian.)

Any advice on where to look next for a solution?

(PiCore-6.1, 3.18.10 kernel.)

Never mind. piCore-7.0alpha3 seems to fix this.
