Hello,
I tried to install Joomla with Apache2, Mariadb (because I didnt find MySQL in tcz) and PHP5 in piCore 6.1 but it didnt work. In Joomlas technical requirements it says MySQL is needed but I thought Mariadb could do instead but it didnt. Any suggestions or future plans of supporting Joomla?
Thanks!

Hi

few weeks ago I installed Joomla successfuly. What you are missing probably the Apache php module, I will add it to repo.

OK, thanks Béla! I will try...  :)
By the way, did you use Mariadb instead of MySQL?

Hello again,

I forgot to tell you that I was using piCore 6.1 v7 on a Raspberry Pi 2 if it matters. I will look for the missing Apache PHP module in the repo.

Thanks!

Magnus

apache2.4-mod-php5.tcz added to repo, now you can use PHP with Apache.

Thank you very much Béla! I will try it out as soon as possible. So you mean it can work with Mariadb instead of MySQL?

Else another dream project right now is a Raspberry Pi 2 with latest piCore v7, Joomla with nginx. What do you think about that?

Best regards

Hi

I successfuly installed Joomla on piCore 6.1 with Apache, PHP and MariaDB a month ago or so. It must work. It must work with NGINX but I have never used such combination. I'm sure Google will return many hits.

Thanks a lot Béla! Now I'll experiment further on my own. I'm to embarresed to tell you what a did to a RPi2 yesterday that resulted in a broken network adapter that only got some kind of strange ipv6 adresse and never got network again. I was so happy first with new kernel and firmware tree 4.0.9 and all. Conclusion: buy a new one! All because of connected a Seagate 2,5" usb external backup disk to it. Thought 2,1 A should be enough but it wasn't.  :o :-[ :-\ ??? 8)
