Web server lan
« on: October 15, 2014, 01:34:25 PM »
Hello everyone
I'm going to build a TCL server to automate a backup of my data permanently which initially will work with a PC and then with others in the network.

The materials that I place are:

- 1 pc with wifi and TCL installed, to use as a server;
- 1 hard disk usb to connect to the server to store the data on the network;

- 1 notebook wifi with linux ubuntu installed;

- 1 wifi router to use only when connected

All the pc are connected in wifi

According to you what I need to start? There is an APP for a specific server or what?

Thanks to those who can direct me on the right track.

* I placed this topic in another section here that will reclaim

Well, you could do that with FTP, or SSH, or many other ways.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

Pick what you like. Both FTP and SSH servers are quite light.

I recommend dropbear or bftpd.
