udisks
« on: August 19, 2014, 02:51:02 PM »
Hi
enlightenment manages the removable device via udisks, so I've installed it and launched with
Code: [Select]
jls@eeepc:~$ sudo /usr/lib/udisks/udisks-daemon 1>udisks.log

(process:10627): GLib-WARNING **: /build/buildd-glib2.0_2.33.12+really2.32.4-5-i386-eISom6/glib2.0-2.33.12+really2.32.4/./glib/goption.c:2179: ignoring no-arg, optional-arg or filename flags (16) on option of arg-type 1 in entry (null):helper-dir

(udisks-daemon:10627): udisks-daemon-WARNING **: No /proc/mdstat file: No such file or directory

I attach the udisks-daemon rest of the response

and looking at ps I see:

Code: [Select]
root      9702  9613  0 20:39 pts/0    00:00:00 /usr/lib/udisks/udisks-daemon
root      9703  9702  0 20:39 pts/0    00:00:00 udisks-daemon: polling /dev/sdc
but the usb pendrive doesn't appear on the desktop.

I fixed a critical issue regarding the udisks and dbus packages.  Re-import both of them and try again.  I am not fluent in e17 so I am not familiar with how it's icons work.  But udisks did not work previously, and now it does by the command line at least.

The fix to dbus may also fix the issue we have seen with Wicd recently.
