The firmware-iwlwifi package doesn't include the latest drivers for Intel radios. They are, however, included in Linux kernel 3.10.

Would it be at all possible to get the Intel drivers from kernel 3.10 backported for the current Tinycore 5 release, specifically for Intel® Wireless 7260 (3.10) and Intel® Wireless 3160 (3.10)

Core 5 runs a 3.8 kernel.  When kernel.org backports the 3.10 driver to 3.8.13, you can compile the driver.
