tightvnc - adding applications using remote desktop uninstalls local screen wbar

using tc2.0rc21

I have tightvcn working as a remote desktop with flwm and wbar.  When I add an application using the app browser on the remote desktop wbar goes away on the local desktop. If I uninstall the tightvnc app the local wbar comes back updated with the icons of the added apps. I can see via ps the local screen wbar has been stopped as a result of adding an app on the remote screen.
