hi jason w,

sorry for the confusion.

no, now everything works flawless and fine...
... and i successfully use importupdatecheck, too. :)

thank you for your efforts!

thane:
The dCore-5.13.12.06 iso appears to work (it's what I'm posting from now). However, when I downloaded the dCore.gz file to USB and tried to boot, there was an error message about (IIRC) 3.8.10 not being found and the boot hung while loading extensions.

Jason W:
Thane -  there has been a kernel update to 3.8.13, you need to download the new vmlinuz in addition to dCore.  I should have mentioned that more explicitly, I have updated the announcement.

netnomad:
hi jason w,

could you please tell me for what purpose are the sce-packages in the repository http://tinycorelinux.net/5.x/x86/sce/ ?
are they provided for a manually download?
are they automatically used with the help of the command importsce?
one one side we could manually download firmware.sce,
on the other side we could fetch several firmeware-xxxxx-packages with importsce.

what are the differences or what do you recommend?

thank you for your hints and your help.

Jason W:
That directory is deprecated, I have been intending to remove it.  Everything is done with importsce.   I will remove the old sce directory now to prevent confusion, thanks.
