Turns out it was not a bug in the importupdatecheck routine, but rather a startup script was contained in the fluxbox-data.tar.gz file on the server, which is a no no.

The data file has been corrected, should work now.

do i need to make another importsce?
only importupdatecheck results in no change.

No, if you are having no issues with fluxbox, then no need to re import it.
