adobe flash on TCL linux
« on: October 19, 2013, 07:11:37 PM »
Hello

Not posted on here for a long time.  No particular reason.

Anyway, having recently used TCL on my haggered old compaq laptop it yet STILL
seems to be working fine.   TCL 4.3

Due to my total and utterly lack of know how with Linux or software apps
it's just by the skin of my teethe that i realized (somebody donated me a TCZ app
of ADOBE FLASH ver 10.1 way back in 2012 but it was only compiled for OSS sound.

I managed to realize that i still had my own version of ADOBE FLASH ver 10.2 here
which is compiled with ALSA.  (so i quikly stored the TWO apps inside my email uploads)

You can also use the apps called  AOSS.....or  OSSonALSA  .......which "polar mirrors
backwards" any compatability issues with SOUND apps designed for OSS or ALSA  (only)

As many people may not care or remember....but TCL and ADOBE FLASH on Linux
only works with laptops using 512 of RAM ......if it adobe flash ver 11.2 or above.

My laptop only has 240 megs of RAM (some is system used for VIDEO).

so anyhow, TCL 4.3 is still serving me good...and playing movies real nice on XORG
and adobe flash on a 13 year old laptop......

just interest

thx

Vince.
