[SOLVED] poor behaviour in one mirror for APPS - run updates
« on: January 07, 2013, 10:39:29 PM »
Hi

Initially I did this without a reboot, and yes I have not moved to 473

So I chose the main mirror and ran Apps -> update
with resulting image
---ignore the details of my "funny" packages and instead note that the main mirror detects my core version
and the second image does not

That second image is from the mirror http://mirrors.163.com/tinycorelinux/

Mods pls move this if this is not a bug
I think its a bug because I expect the mirror to detect my old core version

Here is expected behaviour at main mirror

and the funny one

2) Is it possible that the 163 mirror is not mirroring the new main?
I am looking at that 163 mirror because it also appears slower than the others to sync the new aspell packages

cheers

EDIT

OOPS just rebooted and tried the dutch mirror and it works as expected
suggest someone with better skills see if  163 is  a true mirror?

We don't control the mirrors, how often they sync is up to them. It's quite possible 163.com only syncs weekly for example.

So it looks like it hasn't synced after the release of 4.7.3 and so thinks 4.7.2 is the current. Not a bug per se.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

I'd say not a bug at all. Appbrowsers results are based on what the mirror reports. Post moved to TCB Q&A.
