Where are the Asterisk-1.8 configuration files located?

I'm using tcl on a thin client for an Asterisk installation.  This is my first experience with tcl which is a bit different than a normal full blown distro of linux.  I installed the asterisk-1.8.tcz using the Apps Manager.  I chose "Download + Load" and it installed fine in the /mnt/sda1/tce/optional/ directory.  I can start and stop Asterisk just fine, but I'm used to having the configuration files located in /etc/asterisk/.  Where are they located when using tcl?  I need to configure some SIP users in the sip.conf file.  Thanks in advance!

Asterisk expects them in /usr/local/etc/asterisk

If you need samples install samples package.

There is also the  asterisk-1.8-samples.tcz  extension available should you need it.

I don't have an etc directory in /usr/local/

I do have bin, include, lib, sbin, share, tce.installed, and var.  Do I need to create the etc directory and make the configuration files from scratch?  That's no problem, but I don't see the etc directory as it stands now.

tce-load -iwc asterisk-1.8-samples

Then add
usr/local/etc/asterisk
to /opt/.filetool.lst

Then run backup
