Mouse unable to scroll up
« on: October 08, 2012, 10:07:03 AM »
I have a VMWare virtual machine that is running TC 4.6.1
I'm running XVesa with Fluxbox.

Using the mouse wheel I am unable to scroll up.  I am however able to scroll down just fine.  When I try and scroll up the mouse scrolls down.  So no matter which direction the wheel goes the screen scrolls down.  I tried running xsetup.sh and I tried each option up to #5 but I still have the exact same problem.  This happens in all applications that I have tested.

I know I have seen this problem somewhere before, but I can remember where, and I couldn't find it in the forum.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Any mouse settings in vmware you could twiddle? It's quite likely the VM software is the culprit.

You can try xev to see which events are sent for wheel up and wheel down (it's in Xorg-7.6-bin, IIRC).
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.
