We see more and more mainstream Linux distros ported to ARM.  Here comes openSUSE 12.2; planned release date November 6.

Several boards are suppported (Raspberry Pi is not yet available). For more info see

Angstrom Linux is a lovely distro for ARM

so simple to set up....using the web page interface to build your distribution and the apps
you require.

It supports a multitude of platforms of hardware....lots

It suports about 60 boards (platforms)...

for example, many Wondermedia SoC chips  (wm8085) work by using the "mini2400" machine.

The Pi Soc will possibly work. Although Pi already has about 20 operating systems working for it
