Hi LinuxUser01 (compliment for the nick)
Do you see the spash during boot? If no try to change vga=789 with vga=788 in the file isolinux.cfg which is inside the iso.
Have you tried disabling OpenGL?
LinuxUser01:
Yes, during the boot sequence i do see the splash screen, but sometimes it would give me an extra option after pressing enter at boot to choose vga=*** which i have tried two different resolutions so far but to only find myself at a screen freeze during the desktop load process. If isolinux.cfg file is located in the iso which program can i use to open the iso? I'm sure i can use ecrire to edit that certain file. I have tried unchecking the settings regarding OpenGL once but it would still freeze.
jls:
to edit the iso you can use isomaster.
To disable OpenGL not choose it on e17 initial config, or if you have just configured e go to settings, look, composite, rendering and choose Software.
Thanks for helping me debugging
LinuxUser01:
That error code i've mentioned in my two previous posts reads, "Undefined video mode number:315 please choose your video mode from the list...." and i sometimes would get a corrupted splash screen as well. I can never get to a point in the desktop where i can save my work because it would just freeze before or after the desktop launch or after the e17 initial config.
curaga:
I tried the previous version, with the white boot splash, to check how the boot splash looked like. In Qemu, that resulted in a black screen + themed cursor.
Seems like the first-run popup failed to launch, but can't be sure.
