i try the opera 11.60 from scm reposity.
but it show the crash dialog every time i close it.

is anyone have the 11.61? i cant see no where.

anyway, i like the netsurf browser to see it on tinycore.
2.6 are in a tcz, the most recent is 2.8, 2.8 netsurf is much better than 2.8.
is eazy to make a tcz for 2.8? and opera 11.61?

opera was reverted to 11.52 as 11.60 was crashing on exit.  Info file has the version typo, should be 11.52, but I will be updating shortly, and it not, then fix the typo.

No one wants a browser that crashes on every exit, so opera was left at 11.52.  Not every update brings a net positive result, sometimes a slightly older version is better than the latest overall.  So opera stayed at 11.52.

I will get to 11.61 and see how it does.

Hi, What you think about netsurf 2.8? (it is light, fast browser) as dillo, but more compatable, without javascript.
the tinycore repo has the 2.6 (before 2 years). i thing is a good idea to give a try with the 2.8 version.

I was just about to say that I was not familiar with netsurf.tcz, but I see I created the package.  lol

I have not visited it in a long time, but I will look at an update.

I am uploading opera version 11.61, it still crashes on exit, but we have to follow along with it sometime.

Goodness, in that case why not just run midori or a mozilla browser, and get much more compatibility.  I will look into an upgrade, but if it is so heavy without any real feature increases, my motivation to spend hours building and testing has diminished.

No No!, Netsurf it is light.

firefox, midori, chromium and others... are compatable browsers but very havy for a very old pc.

Opera is the only choice for a light and compatable web.

otherwise you can use more light browsers such as dillo, netsurf.
netsurf it much more compatable than dillo, and more a litle bit more havy as user above said, (but not have such firefox!)

anyway have a look up in the netsurf browser 2.8, it is pretty good for simple sites. (like this forum), and very light.

i think netsurf is more havy than dillo, and more light than opera, firefox etc. anyway am not sure if am correct.

anyway you said that you are upload opera? i cant see it in the http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/4.x/x86/tcz/ .
is somewhere else? :) .

anyway if you see the netsurf, then see the gtk interface, i dont know if is sloware or fastest, but it is more nice, becouse feet more in tinycore, i mean you can risize the window, right click, copy, cut, menu, nice letters etc.

I will look into upgrading netsurf, but any extension maker is welcome to get to it and upload an update before I do.
