vifm as it's currently packaged seems actually to not depend on ncurses as stated by the dependency file on my configuration. does someone want to confirm this?

I don't know the answer to that, but a look at the Files tab in AppBrowser shows some files included that probably
should not be there:

usr/local/lib/libncursesw.so.5.0.7The static libraries certainly don't belong in there. Currently  ncursesw.tcz  is at version 5.9. If  ncursesw.tcz  is
already loaded, vifm.tcz  will replace one of the libraries with an older version, potentially causing problems.
The same holds true of  ncursesw-dev.tcz  and the static libraries.
I won't list them but there are also a bunch of  terminfo  files from  ncurses-terminfo.tcz  included.

It seems the vifm extension was made before ncursew was packaged.
Now that there is a ncursew package and vifm has incremented a couple versions,
would the original extension maker like to update it?
