add extensions
« on: April 26, 2009, 09:22:19 AM »
I recently installed tinycore on a usb stick and I successfully
booted with it.
However my wifi card is not recognized (intel wireless link 5100).
I also noticed it didn't recognized the reiser filesystem (which
is the system on my slackware partition on the hard drive)
I was wondering if
1. it was possible thru extensions to add kernel modules
(provided the kernel was built with them)
2. as I can't connect within tinycore, is it possible to download
the needed files from another system (slackware on my hd) and
  then install them manually
3. or maybe, if the kernel is not patched (aufs, squashfs, ...),
build the kernel with my configs
would that be possible?

Yes, but check filesystems-2.6.26.tcem for the reiserfs and wireless-2.6.26.tcem
for your wireless module first

It would be better to download the extensions mentioned above first

It is patched, but the source, the patch and the config are available
