upgrading TCL
« on: November 08, 2011, 07:05:20 AM »
Hello

Just a simple question...

when you upgrade TCL does it mean some of your extensions may not work?. Which option
in your new upgraded TCL menu will look and upgrades any required extension upgrades?

thanks

V.

Hi cast-fish
When you say  "upgrading"  I'm going to take it you mean updating from 3.x to 4.x. So in general, the
answer is that some 3.x extensions may not work on TC4.x. AppsAudit has a  Check for Updates
function. Maybe someone else can weigh in on if that's the right thing to use.

Sorry Rich

i was not really very clear in the OP....

i meant just upgrading TCL from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2  (Tinycore not multicore)

it seems to be working OK with the extensions that were originally present earlier...

thanks

In most situations, when doing a simple update like that, apps should just work.

If they don't, also update apps.
Many people see what is. Some people see what can be, and make a difference.
