Tiny Core 4.0 "No wifi devices found"
« on: September 27, 2011, 02:18:03 PM »
I have just tried out Tiny Core 4.0 on an IBM Thinkpad 390E laptop and get the message "No wifi devices found!" when I run the wifi.sh script.
I can successfully detect my Atheros based wifi card and establish a network connection when I run Tiny Core 3.8.4 on the same laptop.
The only issue I have with getting Tiny Core 3.8.4 running on the laptop is that I have to use the vi editor to remove the WaitforX statement in /home/tc/.xsession before i can run startx to get the initial gui interface up.
(had to use the same method to get 4.0 up as well).
I don't have a wired connection available on the laptop to get connected to my nearest network switch.
I've just started getting into Tiny Core so I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to proceed with the wireless problem determination?

What did you use?
If multicore 4.0  tcn you should re-download multicore 4.0 as the first posted one had problems with included extensions. This has been been corrected.
