New forum marks post as read when not

New forum is great but all the new posts which can amount to a page full of threads are no longer there after only one has been read....   Seems to me like the forum marks all post as read by simply logging in..     I don't always have time to read all the posts at once, but the unread posts are never  there when I return ..

It works perfectly for me, even from multiple machines with different browsers.
What browser are you using?
Have you cleared the cookies and cache?

Mostly FF 3.6.22  but chrome and IE sometimes..   I get the same response on every PC even without rebooting, but simply closing the browser and reopening it.

Weird,  and yes cache is cleared on reboot but you gave me an idea!!   maybe the cache I load into memory at each boot contains the cache from the forum prior to the latest update  h'mmmm...

You could always go here:

This will show you all unread posts, most recent first. This link will show up when you click on
 Show unread posts since last visit   and no posts are shown.

Thanks for the link, I see this is for the "recent unread topics"    Will monitor that link for behavior.  the issue I have at present is with "show unread posts since last visit"  Post that haven't been read (ie links to new posts that have not yet been selected) shouldn't disappear on next session until the links has been selected, only then is it assumed the post has been read.   My logic suggests the unread posts from a previous session should still be available to read right???

Thanks, am just posting in case this appears an isolated issue or not first.  As usual I end up revisiting my own procedures and machines in the very likely event that the issue is of my own doing...      Since I'm the only user experiencing the phenomena I guess I need to see if I can find a source of the anomaly in my system

I just tried that and got the same result as you while running Opera. While I agree with you as to the
desired behavior, it does say   "since last visit"   which implies not any visits prior to the most recent.
