are extensions from ibiblio.org in sync with sources?
« on: July 24, 2011, 02:37:07 PM »
So how come the extensions shown here

http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/3.x/tcz/index.html

are not in sync with those available for download from the source directory here?

http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/3.x/tcz/src/

the index lists the updated files, their info etc etc, but not anywhere to download from.  yet the available downloads from here are not up to date and some extensions are missing..?

Could you show some that are updated in the sources, but not in the main tce dir?

It could be that there's an upload in progress. For those that don't have sources in the 3.x dir, they haven't been updated since the 2.x era, and their sources are in 2.x/tcz/src.

Sure I can find many..  the first one that comes to mind is "Wifi"  which has been listed in the index for some time but has never been available for download..

It seem that three out of every four extensions, mostly dependencies I can not find manually and have to search for them in the app browser.

maybe this is not a true representation of the issue considering some source folders contain many file however the Index clearly indicates 3400+ extensions, but for whatever reason there are only approximately 1600 shown available for download.
 ???

wifi.tcz is a script, there would be no source for that?

Also, many source files are split to main, -locale, -dev -doc etc extensions.

OK got it :)    but really, isn't this simply semantics here?  I mean isn't a script a source?

Yup, as the script itself is the source, I'd see no reason to post it in the source area as well.
