how to get arabic support to work?
« on: July 15, 2011, 06:39:13 PM »
hello,

I really google through the depth of the WWW but I can't find the reason,
I just see squares on arabic, hebrew, chinese etc webpages. :-\

I mean squares are really annoying and I tried to get rid off them by installing the only arabic font package I found in the appbrowser but it doesn't help. I use Opera as browser, but chromium and firefox show the same, though on debian they all show arabic webpages adequately.

help appreciated
thanks in advance

Install some more fonts ;) IIRC dejavu has good coverage.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.
