AppsAudit - why is the md5sum-check so slow?
« on: July 11, 2011, 02:58:50 PM »
i guess that until 3.5 or 3.6 the md5sum-application was really fast.
i was able to mark all my tcz-files and all md5sums were checked in an easy and fast procedure.

now in 3.7, but also in 3.8rc1 it is very slow to mark the tcz-files, after 5 marked files it takes some time until the system responses again... actually it makes no fun to check the files anymore.
i think this appeared in the same version, when the info-files were downloaded to the home-directory.

is it possible or makes it sense to get the previous system or behaviour back again!?

Found it. Fixed it. Caused by shared widget with updates function. Look for it in v3.8rc2 on.
