Is possible to start Samba from Sevices menu?

Hi, if I start Samba from the menu "SystemTools ->  Services -> Samba" Samba don't start, the led become green for a while and then become gray again, if i use the command from console sudo /usr/local/etc/init.d/samba start all work fine. Is possible to start samba directly from SystemTools -> Services manu?
