Hi bmarkus!

I haven't had any problems with wifi.tcz. Anyway I would rather have wicd to use. I like wicd and using it I wouldn't have to save a visible file in my home directory, which is the case with wifi.tcz unless you want to type the code every time you log in.

Have fun helping out in the TC forum,
meo

Now as I'm ready with the long awaited new MySQL and added back few extensions missing in TC4 repo (wifi-radar, wavemon, aircrack-ng, kismet, etc.) next is WICD.

Hi again!

That sounds nice. I am looking forward to being able to use wicd instead of wifi. Thanks a lot!

Have fun extending the usage of TC,

Script fails when gawk.tcz installed due to busybox/gawk incompatibility.

As it works with WPA and remembers password I do not use WICD. What would be good is an FLTK frontend. :)

OK. I will make an FLTK front end to wifi.sh.

very well roberts for gui :)

bmarkus: to remember the connection just backup ~/wifi.db before start up?

I'm just doing a regular backup and it works, so there must be a file in home. Didn't check wich file is it.

one request:
If a mistake to enter the password the only way to intervene is to edit wifi.db.
If you fail to enter the password, after the program fails to identify, you could put a choice like "exit, redo, change password" ?

I don't see that happening. The wifi.db is only updated/created upon a successful connection. Therefore if you enter a bad password then just click the icon to try again. No manual editing required.
