Execute file by double-clicking on it
« on: October 04, 2010, 12:03:01 PM »
Hello,

I want to add my executable file in the desktop of TinyCoreLinux as an Icon..

So that I can run the executable file just by double-clicking on it.. rather than executing it from Terminal..

Can anyone guide me on this in detail???

Thank you,,

Starting rox-filer with
Code: [Select]
rox -S

will give you a pinboard.   ;)

For more see documentation and options of rox.

You also need the 15 dependencies.
I suggest you borrow an internet connection while you install rox-filer.

Another option:
Create a tce directory on a thumb drive.
Insert the thumb drive on your Windows machine.
Boot theTC CD and install rox-filer ( dont forget the waitusb=5 boot option ).
Shut down TC and move the thumb drive to the other machine, and copy the files.
