unicode?
« on: March 01, 2010, 03:31:11 AM »
I'm sure the question has been asked a thousand times, but for the life of me I can't seem to find the answer...

I need greek characters like alpha, beta, phi, etc to show up in the browser (firefox and chrome) Any hints?

For that, it's enough to install some fonts. IIRC dejavu has good unicode coverage.

( + fontconfig, expat if not already installed )
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

Thanks, Curaga. Fairly sure I've already got fontconfig installed, will look into dejavu.

For Chromium, the problem resolved itself when I built an extension with the latest nightly build.
