Loading extensions from /opt/tce still supported
« on: October 17, 2009, 02:15:56 AM »
I browsed thru the new tc-config and tce-setup (2.4.1) but found no traces of loading extensions from /opt/tce. Is this gone, been replaced by something else or have I just missed it?

In previous versions I have successfully installed kernel modules for my custom kernel by having these modules in extensions in /opt/tce. The important characteristsics here have been to have early loading of the modules in order to avoid too late udev scanning that would have lead to increased startup time. I have other means to achieve this but putting some extensions in /opt/tce has been the one that has required lest effort from me for each remaster.

Kind Regards

Lars

This was overlooked in the massive changes during the transition. It will be restored.
