Author Topic: Suggestion: Organize the repository by categories, or add a "category" column.  (Read 1842 times)

(Apologies if this has already been discussed.  I did do a search, but didn't find any past threads that covered this.)

I think it would be helpful if the repository could be organized by categories (system, office, net, games, multimedia, etc...).

If that's not possible, adding a "category" column would also be helpful.

And to indicate it is MC-compatible console application or has some use without graphical environment. For example linphone has both a graphical gtk GUI and a console-only client.

but, contaraly ....  There are a lot of tcl-applications and i have some trubles with it - big huge list of programs.

How to find some programs (tcz)?
How to find analog of some programs?

any idea to order of it?

It is encumbent upon the .info file to contain proper key words so that others can easily narrow down the select list.
