piCore X for 7?
« on: March 18, 2016, 10:02:19 AM »
After having issues with getting the wifi driver to work / scanning for wifi from the terminal (I would need about 100 feet of Cat5 to use Ethernet due to housing issues and location of the router) Is there a new version of piCore X for ver.7 going to be avaliable?

Or atleast is there a way for me to download the Pi 3 wifi drivers and then load them after boot, but before install?   If the wifi for pi 3 drivers is in the 7.2b version, how do i do the wifi scan?  I have looked around the wiki and searched google, but i cant find an answer.

It seems as if piCore X was dropped at the 4.x series, and I did not know if it would get picked up for the users, like myself, that want to use piCore, but from a gui aspect.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

There is just no prebuilt images with X, for the gui, just download the extension TC.tcz as explained in the release notes for 7.x.  http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,19469.msg120093.html#msg120093

wifi has to be setup from console, or a ssh session over Ethernet.
