how to install what i see when the cd boots
« on: October 26, 2011, 06:59:03 AM »
my apologies for this question,  but i am having a devil of a time looking for answers.

all i want to do is install multicore on my laptop just as it is when the cd boots.

i've gotten as far as installing just the command line. if i where very smart i would connect to the internet from bash and download stuff, but i only have wi-fi there is not ethernet port on my old laptop. i've never figured out wpa-supplicant to connect via the commanline to a wpa router anyway.

isn't there a way to do some sort of full install?

when i boot into the cd i get the wi-fi utility the app-browser all lovely - it's all i need. i just want that on the hard drive. i've looked for these answers and one web site says do this and one says do that. is there a definitive guide to installing tiny/multicore linux?
