The Pidgin extension in the 4.0 repository seems to be missing TLS/SSL support required for gmail XMPP account.  I don't see this error in Pidgin under TC 3.8.4.   

Server requires TLS/SSL, but no TLS/SSL support was found.

I have installed gnutils.tcz, nss.tcz, nspr.tcz per the advise at developer.pidgin.im/wiki/FAQssl#WhycantIuseOpenSSLforSSLsupportinlibpurple, but the error persists.

Recently, the packager of pidgin is not very present, could not respond.
