Actually I only expected some text differences, but those quotes became clear.

I have an old SMF forum running 2.1.2 migrated from 2.0.x Works fine, has some nice new features, e.g. much more mobile friendly. It would be good to make a trial update on a backup copy.

@Béla: Is this 2.1.2 copy your running, by chance, using the VECTOR template?  ("...mobile friendly" only applies if the template is also made to be so; if you have a working VECTOR and it's mobile compatible, I'd appreciate a copy!)  The Tiny Core "light blue" template is based on this "Vector."

Hi

It is the wide_rc4_1 template. You can try at https://xham.myiot.hu without login. By default it is in Hungarian but I can create an account for you default to English.

Best regards... Béla

@Béla: When we're done with the wiki and forum integration (2.0.19) and everyone's happy with the outcome, we'll see about building a 2.1.2 version using the default template and then attempting to mold the Vector template on top of that, as it's possible it's the Vector template that prevented the 2.1 upgrade.

I think a better solution of doing this is to use wget -r to follow links and download all from web archive.  Then doing some diff, or another way of compare.
And then cut that part from the html files that belongs to web archive.
Cut the url's that has been appended with web archive url.
Make use of your regex magic.

Okay, Mr. @PatrikG...  it's your project!! :)  Brain-storm with @rhermsen and the rest of the community to see what you guys can come up with and post your findings here, if you would!  When looking at the Way Back Machine, please bare in mind that content formatting is a bit of a brain-sore to remember, so use the DokuWiki Dokumentation for a reference.

On our end, an example URL would be wiki:ab for the wiki page on the App Browser.
The URI of wiki:ab tells the site to read the file ab.txt in the wiki directory.
Inside wiki/ab.txt is the following:
Code: [Select]
======ab======
AppBrowser

Shell script front-end to various application functions.

Note: in TinyCore version 4.6, this utility has been renamed to [[App browser|tce-ab]]\\
( See [[http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,13933.0.html|release-notes]] in forum; bullet nr 7 )
Note: there is also the "tce" command which is simply a symbolic link to tce-ab (or vice versa ).

Attached to the new forum topic/table ("WIKI RECOVERY") is a ZIP file that contains all of the pages we were able to recover from the old server.
If anyone would like to join in, we'd love to see Wiki back up to her former glory so all hands are welcome!!

Take care!

I think we can use some good programmer from the forum, to translate the wayback html files back to the correct syntax for the DokuWiki.

I am not any "programmer" myself.
But typing in some bash/python3 scripts.
Now more and more using python3, because of that being very popular interpreting language.

Where should I post the big file to ??

Packed with 7zip with the html files and pictures.

And I also think the forum has hits of upload hacking attempt, the way of the lib directory seems to be build. Some type of XSS.

I am not any "programmer" myself.
My 13 year old quotes things like this all the time.  About two weeks ago I heard "...but, Dad, I'm not as smart as you..."  (Heartbreaking.)
Bash/ash/etc....  Python...  you'd be surprised what you could accomplish with just one, let alone both resources.
You're not a brick-layer if you don't use your bricks...  You're only a good one with practice, patience and perseverance!
(C)opyright 2022 By Dad.  Add it to the volumes of endless wisdom, 99.98% of which likely falls upon limited audible reception!

Let's see...
https://web.archive.org/web/20200208152141/http://wiki.tinycorelinux.net/wiki:installer <-- wiki:installer is the path:filename(.txt)
View --> Source
Search for "<!-- start rendered wiki content -->"  This should be the starting flag of the wiki content.
"<!-- end rendered wiki content -->" is the end of it

Sure, this looks as though it shouldn't be too difficult to convert Wayback to DokuWiki
  • WGet Mirror the way-back site content
  • Scan through the HTML files for the two flags above, delete unrelated files
  • If both flags exist, strip the URI to determine the Wiki Page (path/filename)
  • Extract the content between the flags into the associated file.
  • Loop through the text files and replace <p></p> with LFs, <b></b> with **, etc. and strip <a> links to remove way-back text prior to http://

What I usually try to do for large files is store them online (such as Google Drive) and then paste a link to the shared file.  The forum (intentionally) has a very small upload limit.

Please post a link for anything you come across which does not seem to be acting properly.  Screen-shots if you're doing something "normal" and it does something unexpected.

Sorry for little confusing, what i mean was not the forum, what i mean was the wiki, when talking about the hack attempt.

Now the file is ready for someone that have some time left, and have some good programming experiences to do the thing.

Here the file checksum, so you can see that the file is not compromised.

md5sum wiki.7z

Here's the link, wait i little bit and then file will be there for you.

I'm working on the forum/wiki interconnection; expect a couple hiccups here and there.
If you see session data on the screen, it's your own data -- nobody else will see exactly what you do.
