https://old.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/11b0vci/tip_how_i_doubled_my_laptops_battery_life/

i happened to scan over this topic on reddit
and noticed that *"Auto Tab Discard" gets a mention fore reducing resource usage / battery

see also * http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,25980.0.html "how to : use modern browsers with low ram systems "

and wandered if any one has tried any of the ** other methods / tips mentioned in the script or comments  to reduce battery power

from the comments in the how_i_doubled_my_laptops_battery_life topic
it appears that display brightness is probably the biggest power drain factor

**  other methods: eg

Use preemptible kernel
