The chips commonly used in computer bars on the market are similar to Atom chips such as Z8350 and Z7350. Can this type of computer be installed with tinycore?

Yes, they will probably work if they're not locked in the bios.

Hi gadget42
That's where computers go to drink their troubles away.

I run TC on an Intel Atom Z8350 without issue. Frequency throttling and ACPI (with acpid.tcz loaded) work, and the onboard HDMI graphics work. USB works, onboard eMMC flash works. I looked into using the hardware video decoders and encoders in the GPU with ffmpeg but it looked like way more work than it was worth, so I don't know about that. I'm also not using audio.

So in my experience the general answer is yes.

Just a warning for folks looking to get one of those compute sticks - Airmont (z8350) is still affected by the hardware bug that will make the hw unoperable in as little as 18 months of use.
