Title: ionotify package
Post by: M on October 29, 2022, 09:34:34 AM
I cannot find the inotify package to install (release 13.1.0) - is this one of the kernel build options hence it is not available as a package or only availablr to self compile ? (inotify-tools.tcz)

The tinycore kernel config contains "CONFIG_INOTIFY_USER=y"

The inotify-tools extension is quite old - maybe you could try it and see if it works?

Ah - can you confirm if you’re looking for inotify for piCore or x86?

Hi Juanito
Based on his only other post:
https://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,25348.msg166216.html#msg166216
I suspect he's talking about 5.10.77-piCore-v7.

inotify-tools would need to be compiled on piCore

Rich is correct & sorry for the delay.

I am using piCore armv7 specifically (Tiny Core 13.1, piCore 3.x packages).

If there isn't a package & from what Juanito says it should work if I compile the package source as the kernel is already configured to support it.

Many Thanks.
