Title: TC on MacBook Air 2015
Post by: Demontager on June 29, 2022, 03:15:54 AM
Trying to get working USB drive containing TinyCorePure64-13.1.iso. Tried BelenaEtcher and dd way no success - when i press Option key no TC drive available.
Code: [Select]
dd if=TinyCorePure64-13.1.iso of=/dev/sda

Then i found this thread http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,23414.15.html and followed steps described by Twist
and stuck on step 6 e.g.
6) download STUBLOAD_release_x64.EFI and Kernelcmd_sample.txt from https://github.com/KNNSpeed/UEFI-Stub-Loader

However UEFI-Stub-Loader no more available.

searched github and found one other stub-loader(have NOT used it...proceed as you normally would in such cases)
snippet quoted from: https://github.com/fengjixuchui/UEFI-Stub-Loader#target-system-requirements
Quote
Target System Requirements
64-Bit architecture with UEFI (only little-endian ARM64 and x86_64 binaries are provided)
Secure Boot must be disabled

See the "Releases" tab for usage information and downloads, and please post any bugs, feature requests, etc. in "Issues."
Derived from Simple-UEFI-Bootloader, which is designed for booting custom kernels: https://github.com/KNNSpeed/Simple-UEFI-Bootloader/ (as of 20220629-github reports page not found)

I found easy way to load TC on MacBook - YUMI https://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multiboot-usb-creator/
I used UEFI variant YUMI UEFI. Also tried Ventoy not working it shows iso images list but not boot.
